WEBMar 9, 2024 · Here's my 50's Tribute Les Paul with stock Gibson P90's and a satin-finish, no neck/headstock binding. It's decidedly non-bling but it's got the P90-Tele-on-Steroids thing going on for days. Being Stock Gibson P90's the pickups are the same that you'd find on a CS re-issue, or Standard for way more money.

WEBApr 3, 2020 · The differences are pretty minor. The 2019 traditionals also had orange drop caps (previous years didn’t). Both had BB1&2 pickups. differences: installed pickguard, amber vs gold knobs, cream vs orange switch tip, truss rod cover, knob pointers, 50s standard has slightly larger frets.

WEBMessages. 9,104. May 14, 2020. #3. for non-weight relieved, you'll want to look at the Les Paul Traditional's, 50's for bigger necks, 60's for the slim taper neck. the new-ownership seems to have improved the overall fit/finish more commensurate with the legacy brand.

Curious to know from people who love the Gibson Custom Shop what you prefer about the 2018 reissues (56, 57, etc), because they seem pretty similar to my untrained eye.

WEBJul 26, 2020 · The Original 50's Standard line of Gibsons, to me, marks the first time they started making the Heritage Cherry Burst on non-Custom Shop Les Pauls more true to the original Cherry Burst, in my opinion. No more clown bursts. Its closer to the 'Factory Burst' on the new 60th Anniversary R9 Les Paul Standard.

Gibson Les Paul Standard - 50's Gold Top or 60's Unburst
WEBMay 15, 2021 · Having said that, I think the Gold Top is a better looking guitar, but I prefer the 60's necks to the baseball bat 50s. I voted for the 50's Gold top because I have one. Got it from Reverb so couldn't use this good rule of thumb (I just really wanted a Gold top). But it was two out of three out of the box.
