AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is investigating the city's 61st homicide this year after a person was found dead early Friday morning in North Austin .

APD identified the victim as 32-year-old Travis Holland. APD officers detained a suspect, who was identified as William Bruce, 31.

Austin Police said a woman died at a north Austin apartment complex after she was shot by a gun fired from a neighboring apartment.

A suspect is in the Travis County Jail after police said a woman was shot through the wall of an apartment on Nov. 16.
