(WJAR) — The Fall River Police Department has arrested a man accused of slashing the tires on 62 vehicles. The department said on Wednesday that it had arrested Liduino Tavares as the individual who slashed the tires of dozens of vehicles on September 18.

Liduino Tavares is accused of damaging the tires on 62 vehicles in the south side of the city on Sept. 18, according to police.

A Fall River man is facing several charges after a series a break-ins at businesses across the state. Police said 41-year-old Alexander Botelho was identified as the person responsible for the break-ins.

Alexander Botelho, 41, was taken into custody Tuesday by officers who responded to a Stafford Road home for reports of an unwanted man.
