Thousands cross finish line at Life Time Chicago Half Marathon and 5K
The half marathon kicked off at 7a.m. and the 5K at 7:45 a.m. The race will take off and finish near East Hayes Drive at 63rd Street and Richards Drive. DuSable Lake Shore Drive between 31st and 67th Street will be closed at 6 a.m. on Sunday.

The 27th annual Life Time Chicago Half Marathon and 5K race is underway Sunday morning along the lakefront and on the city's South Side. Road closures are in effect Sunday morning to accommodate the thousands of athletes representing 49 state and 43 countries participating in this year's race.
