Possible planned power outages due to the current heat wave roasting Northern California were called off for customers in Contra Costa, Alameda and Sonoma counties and most of Napa County, PG&E officials said early Monday evening.

Thousands of PG&E customers are still without power as part of the Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS). The planned power shutoffs are implemented during "extreme" high fire conditions.

CHICO, Calif. - More than 11,000 customers in our local counties may lose power on Monday due to increased fire danger caused by dry windy conditions. By 5 a.m. Monday, customers in the Butte County communities of Concow and Yankee Hill had their power shut off. By 6 a.m. customers in eastern Shasta County lost power near Round Mountain.
