The MTA is working to make it easier for riders to get to Grand Central Madison. Transit leaders announced the organization is building a new entrance to the LIRR station at Grand Central Terminal. The new ADA accessible entrance will go up on Madison Avenue and East 44th Street,

Until now, frequent Grand Central Madison commuters have had to travel to the depths of the train station to access the relatively new Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) concourse. Not many have complained about the route (it takes 10 to 15 minutes to access the platforms from the street),

The project, set for completion in 18 months, will improve access for tens of thousands of commuters in Midtown.
