The No. 4-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide held off the No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs 41-34 in a game for the ages on Saturday night. The Bulldogs erased a 28-0 deficit and even took a 34-33 lead with a little over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart suffered his first regular season loss in four years in UGA’s 41-34 loss at the Alabama Crimson Tide. Smart has a lot of reasons to be proud of Georgia, but ultimately the Bulldogs did not get the job done and Smart takes ownership of that.

For what it's worth, Kirby Smart isn't bothered by his record against Alabama. Plus, it should be noted that Smart's lone win against the Crimson Tide since becoming Georgia head coach came in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game of the 2021 season.
