Democratic state Attorney General Josh Stein will win North Carolina’s gubernatorial race, CNN projects, defeating Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, whose campaign struggled as his history of incendiary remarks became public.

Cue the mockery. Stein's win doesn't come as a surprise, given that among other things Robinson, currently the lieutenant governor, had among other things his history of calling himself a "Black Nazi" on a pornography website's message board exposed by CNN.

North Carolina voters elevated state Attorney General Josh Stein to the governor’s office Tuesday, rejecting scandal-plagued Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. Stein’s received 775,821 votes (51.7%) of the vote to Robinson’s 653,335 (43.6%), with 25% of the votes in, the Associated Press reports.
