At 10 am Saturday, the National Hurricane Center released the initial advisory for a tropical depression. The tropical depression is 210 miles north-northeast of Veracruz Mexico and 350 miles west of Progreso Mexico, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving 3 mph to the north-northeast. The tropical depression is forecast to strengthen.

Tropical depression forms in Gulf and is set to bring rain to Florida, NHC says
A disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico has formed into a tropical depression, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Forecasters will begin issuing advisories at 10 a.m. The system will likely bring heavy rains to portions of Mexico over the next day or two and dump rain on Florida late this weekend through mid-week.
