Russia pounded Ukraine on Sunday with a massive attack that killed 11 civilians across several regions and damaaged the country's already fragile energy grid, as the world prepared to mark 1,000 days since Moscow's invasion.

Russia said Sunday that it destroyed all its planned targets in a sweeping attack on critical energy infrastructure sites in Ukraine.

The attack came as fears are mounting about Moscow’s intentions to devastate Ukraine’s energy capacity before winter.
