Tata Motors Ltd reported a 15% decline in total domestic sales for September, reaching 69,694 units. Passenger vehicle sales fell 8%, while commercial vehicle sales dropped 23%, attributed to sluggish consumer demand and seasonal factors impacting the market.

Tata Motors sold nearly 4,000 fewer cars in September 2024 as compared to the year-ago period, indicating an inventory build-up at the dealership level.

The company sold 69,694 units this month, which is a big drop from the 82,023 units sold in September last year. This decline is mainly due to slow consumer demand and seasonal factors affecting the auto industry.
