As far as I'm concerned, there are two types of PC gamers. Those who care about graphics and those who care about performance. Gaming monitors under a grand usually only do one or the other. They spit out 4K graphics or serve up a smooth image at an uncapped frame rate, rarely both.

For just $229, you can get a pretty awesome 34-inch Samsung Odyssey G5, but you'll want to hurry before it sells out.

Although plenty of "early" Black Friday deals have already gone live, there's really only one monitor deal that's worth jumping on right now. If that monitor doesn't fit your needs, I'd suggest waiting for better deals to come around.
