Victims of Hurricane Helene trapped in towns in North Carolina and Tennessee are getting help from volunteer pilots who are using their private aircraft to deliver necessities.

There is a growing hurricane relief effort underway in Northern Virginia, as volunteers and pilots at the Leesburg Executive Airport gather supplies and fly them to devastated towns in North Carolina after Helene.

A community in Toughkenamon, Chester County stepped up to help those in western North Carolina in the aftermath of Helene.

Independent pilots and those with a general aviation club in Warren County have flown down hundreds of pounds of supplies to western North Carolina.
