Officials say it happened on November 16, around 1:11 a.m. on Regent Parkway near the intersection of Charterhouse Lane, just north of Fort Mill.

A 53-year-old driver was killed Sunday after crashing when he tried to pass another vehicle in Camden County, officials said. Preston Newbey was driving west on Williamstown Road in the area of Lakedale Road in Winslow when he veered off the road and struck a utility pole, township police said Monday.

One person was killed in a car crash early Saturday morning in York County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash happened around 1:10 a.m. on Regent Parkway near the intersection with Charterhouse Lane.
