Teachers strikes will continue in three North Shore communities Tuesday, though negotiators reported some "significant progress" in contract talks Monday.

Officials in Marblehead, Gloucester, and Beverly all announced schools will once again be canceled as the teachers unions and school committees failed to reach a labor agreement.Three North Shore school districts,

District officials and union representatives in all three communities are still divided on key issues, including paid parental leave and wages for teachers and teaching assistants.

School is canceled for Tuesday in Gloucester, Beverly, and Marblehead as striking teachers and school committees fail to reach an agreement.

As the teacher strikes approach the 2nd week, positive progress is being made amongst the 3 North Shore striking communities as contract negotiations continued on Saturday.
