After another shark sighting earlier this week, Crane Beach in Ipswich will remain closed to swimming to people and pets.

Officials said Crane Beach is open to walkers, dogs, and horses but advised people to keep their animals out of the water.

Though swimming weather may be waning by the day, there’s one place where you won’t be able to take a late-season dip. Crane Beach in Ipswich, Massachusetts, has imposed a swimming ban through the end of October.

Officials in Ipswich are extending the restriction on swimming at Crane Beach through October due to the recent shark sightings.According to The Trustees, the group that oversees Crane Beach, the most recent shark sighting occurred on Monday while the Ipswich Harbormaster was on patrol in the area.
