Penn State Nittany Lions coach James Franklin turned a press conference question into a recruiting pitch for one of the nation's top tight ends.

“Getting into Minnesota, P.J. Fleck, who I've known for a long time, came and visited us when we were at Vanderbilt, came and visited us actually here at Penn State when we first got here. I've known P.J. for a long time. He's done a really good job.

James Franklin was measured Monday, as he usually is with a bigger game on the slate in the upcoming week. His measuredness might’ve taken an extra step forward, too, considering the Purdue game was such a blowout.
