Shohei Ohtani won his first World Series with the Dodgers and his remarkable season is being recognized with a number of awards.

Ohtani is the NL winner of the Hank Aaron Award as the top offensive player in the league and also wins his fourth Edgar Martinez Award as the top DH in baseball.

For the fourth consecutive year, Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani won the Edgar Martínez Award as the best designated hitter in MLB. Only David Ortiz (eight) and Martínez himself (five) have won more such awards.

Shohei Ohtani won the 2024 National League Hank Aaron Award in his first season with the Dodgers. It’s the second Aaron Award in a row for Ohtani, who won in 2023 with the Angels, and is the first player to win the award in both leagues.

Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Chris Sale, who are expected to receive bigger prizes next week, were among the honorees Thursday at the MLB Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
