A man has been charged after he shot and killed three people at a homeless encampment in Minneapolis in October.

Earl Bennett, 40, faces three counts of second-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed three people inside a tent at a Minneapolis encampment.

A man shot by St. Paul police officers Monday night is a suspect in deadly shootings at a homeless encampment, Minneapolis police said Tuesday. Earl Bennett, 40, was in critical but stable condition at the hospital as of Tuesday morning.

Chief Brian O’Hara says they don’t believe Earl Bennett is responsible for the shooting on Saturday that left one person dead but is facing charges in another shooting Sunday. Meanwhile, the city continues to be concerned about violence at the camps.

Police say the man shot and injured by St. Paul police officers on Monday night was wanted in connection with two Minneapolis shootings, including the double fatal shooting Sunday at a small encampment.

The woman has since been identified as Samantha Jo Moss, 35, of Saint Louis Park, by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

One man is in the hospital after a shooting inside Vanquish nightclub in Minneapolis. Minneapolis police say officers were working off-duty for an event at the nightclub Sunday night when they heard gunfire.
