PHOENIX — A trio of Phoenix Police officers are being recognized for their heroic actions to save a man who was trapped in a car under water.

Members of the Phoenix Police Department are being credited with saving a man’s life after they pulled him out of a car submerged in a pool.

A man was trapped in a submerged car after crashing into a swimming pool, and a Phoenix police officer leaped into the water to make a dramatic rescue.

Phoenix police on Tuesday released dramatic video of an officer rescuing a man who they say drove his car into a pool. The video shows the car was fully submerged in the water when the officer arrived after bystanders had called 911 to report someone had driven into the pool.

A man who accidentally drove his car into a swimming pool has a quick-acting police officer to thank for saving his life.
