BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark indices, rallied strongly in trade on Tuesday. While BSE Sensex was above 78,300, Nifty50 was near 23,750.

Infosys, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) contributed most to the Sensex rise today. Tata Motors and M&M rose over 2 per cent each and led the Sensex gainers.

Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session in the red. Nifty 50 closed at 23,453.80, while Sensex ended at 77,339.01. Overnight, Wall Street indices ended paused their losing streak.

Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session in the red. Nifty closed at 23,532.70, while Sensex ended at 77,580.31. Nifty 50 has corrected more than 10% from the record high it hit in September 2024.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a gap-down start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 23,500 level, a discount of nearly 100 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.
