Several members of the San Francisco Animal Control and Welfare Commission toured the zoo in August, coming to the conclusion that the zoo’s conditions are unsafe. (Some commission members also spoke with representatives from In Defense of Animals and Panda Voices, the report says.)

The Zoo is under fire after an audit report compiled by the Animal Control and Welfare Commission called the facility outdated and unsafe for animals and visitors.
